He-man Hubby and I received an unexpected invitation the other day. We were asked on a date... the both of us! Sunshine and her brother, Dreamer, called to invite us to a matinee; their treat. "Really, Yaya," Sunshine said, "You get to pick the movie and the theater and we will pay for the tickets and the snacks! If you want snacks. Do you want snacks, Yaya? It's okay if you don't, but if you want popcorn we are going to pay for it, okay?"
Sunshine is very sensitive to hurting my feelings. She is cautious about asking me to do something that I might not want to do. She tends to the feelings of others more than her own sometimes and I practically have to beg her to tell me what she wants and not worry about what I might want her to do or say. She is a sweet little thing who is growing into an even sweeter young lady. Yikes!

Making way to the theater box office |

Ohhh, just to think that I was his first date |
Getting everyone's order correct is a huge responsibility |
Success! Tickets delivered! |
Are you sure we got what everyone wanted? |
Take a seat and enjoy the show |
Where's Yaya? |
No, I did not take pictures during the movie. In fact I snuggled my way in between Sunshine and He-man and laughed at Jim Carey's body antics and quick whit. He reminds me of a young Dick Van Dyke. He had a great television show that we would watch as a family after dinner. He also stared in many Disney movies. He was tall, lanky and had a body that could bend like a rubber band. If he was before your time, just picture a 1960s Jim Carey and that's pretty much Dick Van Dyke.

Out of the dark, cool theater into the hot blazing sun |

Man, it's hot out here (105 to be exact) |

Checking out the heat waves |
Belt up, we're going home |
We're home. Date's over |
He-man and I hung around Sunshine's and Dreamer's house to put the squeeze on Little Miss Boo and to catch a glimpse of a Tornado flying by.
Little Miss Boo is getting fat cheeks. Yeah! |
Tornado stopped flying long enough to try his hand at climbing |

We said our good byes and headed home |
I hope you have a day that brings you an unexpected invitation. I hope you can spend time relaxing in the cool, enjoying the joy of someone else. I hope you are blessed with Sunshine and Dreams.
