Remember those so called treasures from last weekend's garage sale spree?
What can a couple of gals do with an rocky side table, a stinky old second hand store cabinet, a few wooden letters, glue, scrape book paper and several cans of spray paint?
Hopefully we can turn them into a playroom for an active two-year-old.
He-man cut the table down to child height and made three stools to fit round it.
He also scrounged through his wood pile and came up with enough left overs to fashion into a few more letters to add to our collection. He's such a good fashioner.
Spray paint scattered it's way over shelves, table, stools, boxes, wicker cubes and letters, transforming the old finds into the delectible treasures we knew them to be.
Saturday morning Pleasure and I will install our transformations in the playroom of our first client. We are striving hard to please her and to give her child a safe, happy, fun place to imagine and grow.
After the room is shown to our client it will be shown to you via blog network. I know you are sitting on the edge of your seats and probably won't sleep a wink until Monday waiting for the big reveal. I wouldn't be surprised if you even set your computer's and Iphone's DVRs to record the post. Oh, isn't it all so exciting!?
Seriously, Pleasure and I are flying high with the possibilities of our little business. It is nothing that will make us rich... not in the monetary sense anyway. But it will allow us to use our creative talents and to share what we have in our attics, closets and storage bins with others. I am hoping to empower young mothers on limited budgets to dig deep within themselves to find the confidence they need to paint a wall, sew a pillow, organize their pantry or craft a homemade gift.
New beginnings are fun and frightening. I am grateful Pleasure and I have each other for support and celebration.
I am grateful that you are willing to travel with us too. Thanks for visiting.
I hope your day delivers at least one reason for excitement. I hope you can find hidden beauty in something old and used. I hope you have a dream and that you see yourself in it's awakening.
Sounds delightful and fun. Enjoy each other and the folks you treat. Love, Mum
