Oh my goodness, I did something very dangerous. I attended a blogging class sponsored by our community education program.
The instructor was Sarah Roe, The Money Saving Queen, who has an average of 189,000 hits on her blog every day, who wrote a book in four days, who posts twelve times a day on her blog, who sponsors Twitter parties and Facebook give-a-ways, who speaks 'round the country, who does fifteen news shows per week, who is young mother to two, and wife to one. She is a highly motivated, energetic blogger who has three other blogs in the making. Whew, was only one of my many reactions to the class.
Anyway, I am doing exactly what Sarah suggested that I not do..... write paragraphs with more than three sentences and write sentences that take up more than two lines. I get really bummed when I flunk a course.
The truth is while the class was packed with information I may never use, it also delivered goods that were right up my alley. To hear that some of Sarah's suggestions were the same as what I had already been considering for my blog gave me hope that I might be on the right track.
But again, I ramble. I am going to have to put an alarm on my keyboard after my sixtieth stroke or something. Got any suggestions?
Ah, that brings me back to the purpose of this post. I need your help. I need to know what my amazing readers desire. Do you want shorter text... more pictures... neither?????
With Pleasure's contributions and the idea of adding others, the blog is evolving and I honestly need your input. The average blog reader stays on a site for three minutes and then moves on. Are you the average reader? As most writers, I would like to expand my circle of readers, but not at the risk of loosing the faithful ones I now have.
I know you have mega more important things going on in your lives than the shape of this blog. So if you don't care one way or the other.. I am cool with that. But if you would like to voice your opinion, please leave a comment.
5. I am grateful for you.
I hope you learn something today that gets your juices churning. I hope you get to experience the passion and drive of another. I hope you do nothing more or less than be who you really are.
I love it the way it is because it is you and it is pleasure! BUT for some reason when you changed it the other day I lost the tool bar that was across the top that said home............. So now I have to scroll all the way down the side to find the month to refresh my screen every time. No worries though I will do it every time for sure but it is nice to just have the home on the top tool bar to refresh to the new posts! Hope you have a blessed day, we are grateful for you! Love Ya, Tara
ReplyDeletedon't change. I love it the way it is. Sometimes a little education is not good. Keep on being Peggy Bumblebees and it will work. Love, Mum
ReplyDeleteI enjoy each entry, just as it is.... sometimes a brief posting, sometimes more thought provoking, but always appreciated... a lovely visit with you, and yours.
