Up All Night

Isn't it funny that the main source of our joy, happiness, and love, can also test our patience, sanity, kindness and endurance. Yes, I'm talking about our children.

This blog contains picture after picture and story after story of our children doing something sweet...or innocent....or talking about a great achievement.  But there is a darker side.

J.D. AND I MEAN A MUCH DARKER SIDE. LITERALLY - THE NIGHT TIME.
It is the time when our angels should all be peacefully off in dream land, resting and snoring and letting mom and dad do the same. But then that would not be real.

J.D. told me that in some parts of this world they torture people with sleep deprivation. They, being a government, or when a military group captures a prisoner.  They will actually deprive them of sleep until they break.

News flash!  J.D. and I wouldn't last long if we were prisoners. Sleep is definitely one of our weaknesses.

We were taken prisoner last night by Tornado and Boo who have somehow managed to perfect their sleep deprivation technique against us with coordinated cries, ambushed screams, and the all out artillery barrage of tears, wails and full body fits. We are learning that being sleep deprived by our little monsters at night does not bring out our best qualities.

Do they not know we are on their team? ....jeeeeez, is your bottle not warm enough?, quit spitting your passie out!. We had no choice but to wave the white flag, yep, we surrendered. So we have found ourselves in a situation, I think its called STOCKHOLM SYNDROME. Its when a person has been captured or kidnapped and they actually begin to love their capture.
Yes we love these little monsters, they have stolen our freedom, and at times our sanity but then again, we wouldn't have it any other way because they have captured our hearts as well.
 Who has captured you?
Tara
